We are now searching for a Data Analyst to join our Transformation & Digital Enablement Team in Digital Business Cababilities unit.
Your Mission:
The Data Analyst plays a key role in enabling Sandvik's journey toward a more data- and performance-focused organization. This role bridges strategic targets with measurable outcomes by delivering high-quality reporting, KPIs, and data models that support decision-making at all levels. You will design, manage, and maintain key data through integrated dashboards and data models, providing insights across business capabilities, digital portfolios, investment cases, and enterprise architecture.
By enabling faster and more transparent data-driven decision-making at all levels, the role contributes directly to performance excellence, transformation, and continuous improvement.
Main Responsibilities:
👉 Collect, analyze, and interpret data across portfolio management, strategic investments, enterprise architecture, business processes, and financial performance.
👉 Develop and maintain interactive dashboards, KPIs, and reporting packages that:
- Track value delivery, capability maturity, platform adoption, and process performance.
- Support both strategic steering and operational management, including recurring and ad hoc reporting.
👉 In collaboration with the Data & Analytics and other contributing teams, design and maintain connected data models that integrate data from strategic targets, business outcomes, financial performance, and operational progress across portfolios and functions.
👉 Support in setting clear and achievable goals and benefit capture plans to drive success using data metrics.
👉 Automate reporting workflows, integrating data from multiple sources to improve accuracy, efficiency, and usability.
👉 Ensure data quality, consistency, and traceability.
👉 Provide data-driven insights and recommendations by identifying patterns, trends, and improvement opportunities from process execution and portfolio performance.
👉 Ensure master data and related structures support effective execution of portfolios, projects, and improvement-related workflows.
👉 Collaborate closely with Process Leads, Portfolio Managers, Business Controllers, Architects, IT Business Partners, and other stakeholders to understand data needs, translate them into reporting solutions, and ensure the adoption of analytics.
👉 Proactively engage stakeholders to identify and address evolving needs and ensure that data and analytics support effective decision-making at all levels.
What Would You Bring to Our Team?
- Working experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or a similar role.
- Proficiency in data analysis, modeling, and visualization (Excel, PowerBI, SQL, SharePoint).
- Understanding of portfolio, project, and process management frameworks (Stage-Gate, SAFe, BPM).
- Experience in defining KPIs, metrics, and benefit tracking models.
- Knowledge of enterprise architecture concepts and their impact on operational reporting.
- Familiarity with process framework development, process modeling, and process mining (e.g., ARIS, Celonis).
- Skills in report automation, dashboard design, and reporting digitalization.
- Experience in business case support and connecting strategic intent to measurable results.
- Supporting both strategic and operational reporting in complex, global organizations.
- Educated to degree level in Business Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Certification in data analytics or visualization tools, Power BI preferred.
- You are proactive and customer-oriented in your working approach.
- You speak and write fluent English and Finnish, and traveling for work would not be a problem for you.
📍You will report to the Head of Portfolio Management and Project Excellence. The position is located in Tampere, Finland or Stockholm, Sweden or Dublin, Ireland, and we offer you a hybrid working model.
